Red River RivalryOctober 4, 2011 5:56 pm
So it's on this weekend! UT Longhorns versus the Oklahoma Sooners! Normally this is the stumbling block for either of the schools on their path to a potential BCS championship bid. Hopefully this year, the Longhorns will trip up the Sooners thus knocking them out of contention for the NC. For anyone out there seeing Longhorn news, who does Mack Brown start this week? Will it be a rotation deal with Case McCoy and David Ash? LUS and Alabama are trying to run away with the BCS this year for the SEC, but they will soon meet and then all bets are off....this game is basically the Sooner's season in a nutshell. Sure they have one more big one against the OSU Cowboys, but a loss here and it's over! Long live the Big 12 Hook 'em Horns!!!!!! Category: NCAAF From the ashes....October 3, 2011 12:54 pm
I didn't get to see the game versus Iowa, but from reading the box score, sounds like david Ash and the Lonhorns may have found some offense! this couln't have happend at a better time with Oklahoma and red River Rivalry on the horizon. Texas has moved up to 11 in Ap poll while Oklahoma moves back to number 3 to make way for Alabama at number 2....which I agree given OU beat Ball State and Bama beat up on Florida. Texas needs to ride this momentum if they stand any chance against Oklahoma. Not sure if the Longhorns rotating Qbs between Ash and McCoy will work, so I hope Mack Brown leans toward one or the other...maybe bring in the other if Texas is looking bad early. This team is ahrd to figure out this year...I still don't know who the #1 QB is right now...anyone else? Category: NCAAF Bye-bye Title...September 28, 2010 9:03 pm
Yeesh. Hard to fathom that it's all over so early. I had night-terrors about the UCLA game after I saw them give Stanford such a run for their money in Week 1... Oh well, we weren't "expected" to get to the top of the BCS this year, anyway, right? (I do think the polls hated on us, though, before we lost!) CONS: It's gonna be a long season. PROS: Maybe we'll shoot the lights out in Dallas with nothing more to lose(?) Had we beaten UCLA, I'd have been so nervous this week. And how about Mike Davis? Lookin' like a stud for years to come! Texas Vs. Texas TechSeptember 19, 2010 4:03 pm
I personally thought Texas was gonna come up short against The Red Raiders, Luckily the last touchdown put it away and our defense. I think if we keep playing good we should easily beat UCLA, then Nebraska and Oklahoma will probably be our toughest games of the year. Hook Em' Horns!! Category: NCAAF Tags: Texas Longhorns
